What to expect
With the belief that yoga is a form of self-care, Alyona’s classes are thoughtfully sequenced and paced with breathwork woven through to encourage stillness of the mind. In her teaching, movement and alignment are almost always followed by meditation or Yoga Nidra. Expect to get intimate with your breath through carefully selected breathing techniques. Alyona combines a variety of practices aiming to provide a safe, empowering experience.
Central to her teaching is the idea that we and our bodies are a process, not an entity. Our routines of movement of our physical body and mind hygiene are two of the most important ways we maintain and build our health.
In person classes are held in Greenwich, CT and Westport, CT (Fairfield County, CT). Please reach out regarding online and zoom sessions.
Through her own practice she has found a calm, resilient presence of the mind, filled with compassion, a sweet joy of simple being, and she is inspired to guide others to the same place in her teaching.
Private and Group classes
Private sessions are the best way to get the most out of your practice especially if you are new to it. One-on-one classes are useful in the moments of change and transition be it physical, mental or else. They are a great way to make the most out of your time on the mat as they are entirely individualized.
As it is developed only for you, each part of such session is tailored to your goals, plans and needs. Alyona is here to support you on your journey.
